Youth held for raping 13-year-old

Ludhiana: Ludhiana police have arrested a 21-year-old youth for allegedly kidnapping and raping a minor girl. The accused and girl lived in the same area.
In his complaint, father of the 13-year-old rape survivor said on April 27, her daughter had gone missing from home. He said as they were searching for his daughter, they came to know that the accused had kidnapped his daughter on the pretext of marriage.
On Wednesday, his daughter was traced from an area. She told them that accused had taken her away without her consent.
The complainant further said the accused had forcefully made physical relations with her. He later informed police about the matter. Police later booked the accused under relevant sections of the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. tnn
