One Covid death, 73 new cases in Gujarat

AHMEDABAD: On the day the World Health Organization (WHO) said that Covid-19 no longer qualifies as a global health emergency, active case tally continued its decline in Gujarat. Against 73 new cases, the state recorded discharge of 179 patients, taking the active cases to 643. The state however recorded the death of a Covid patient in Valsad, taking the death toll to 11,075. Three patients were on ventilators.
Ahmedabad city recorded 22 new cases on Friday, followed by seven in Mehsana and six each in Vadodara city and Surat.TNN
