Amid the ongoing investigation against former BSP leader Mukhtar Ansari and his brother Afzal Ansari, Ghazipur Superintendent of Police Omvir Singh on May 06 informed that the arms license of Afzal Ansari has been cancelled. Further briefing on the investigation, Singh said that the search for the same is going on at the accused’s residence. “Afzal Ansari’s arms license has been cancelled. License was searched at their residence, however, nothing was found. Interrogation over the same will be done with him,” the Ghazipur Superintendent of Police said. Both the Ansari brothers have been sentenced to 10 years of jail by a court in Ghazipur on April 29.
