Manipur Violence News Live Updates: Manipur's situation improved after intervention of security forces, says DGP

Manipur Violence Live Updates: Over 1,000 people have fled violence-hit Manipur to take shelter in the bordering Cachar district of Assam on Friday. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has asked the district administration to take care of them. According to reports, people belonging to non-Meitei communities of Manipur’s Jiribam district have started pouring into Cachar’s Lakhipur sub-division since Thursday night.

The Meghalaya government has initiated measures to evacuate students from the state and others stranded in Manipur with the help of special flights.

At least 30 people, mostly women and children, from violence-hit areas of Manipur fled to Mizoram on Friday, officials said.
