Samsung is swiftly rolling out the May 2023 security update to its mid-range and high-end smartphones. The company has now released its latest security update to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 2, and the devices are currently getting the update in some Latin American countries.

The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 bumps up the phone’s firmware version to F711BXXS4EWD9, while the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is getting updated with firmware version F916BXXS2JWE1. These two foldable phones are getting the new update in Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, and Trinidad & Tobago.

The May 2023 security patch included in the new update brings fixes for over 70 security flaws. It might also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements. We expect Samsung to release the May 2023 update in other countries over the next few weeks.

If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 3 or the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in any of the countries mentioned above, you can download and install the May 2023 update by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows PC.
