Nagpur: The Supreme Court has granted relief to Nagpur jail superintendent Anoop Kumre by restoring discretion to act against him to his appointing authority.
The Nagpur bench of Bombay high court had directed the police commissioner to investigate into the allegations of grant of parole to ineligible prisoners and refusal to grant parole/furlough to eligible prisoners by Kumre. It also directed the additional CS (prisons) to conduct departmental inquiry against him. tnn
