Jaipur: A 37-year-old accused fled from a city court when he was sentenced after being convicted in a narcotics case on Wednesday. As per police, Babu Lal, a native of Pali, had come to the court in a vehicle because he was paralysed.
“He was in the vehicle while two other suspects were inside the courtroom. After their conviction, the court was sentencing them and warrants were being prepared when the accused slipped out,” said an official.
Cops said that guards were on their way when Babu Lal asked the driver to move.
“The accused was on bail and had come to the court,” said Sadar SHO Raisal Singh.
