“Wake up and smell the coffee…” Jaishankar’s take on Bilawal Bhutto on abrogation of Article 370 in J&K

Hitting back at Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto after he commented on the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu & Kashmir on the sidelines of the Shanghai Corporation Organization (SCO), External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on May 05 advised the former to “Wake up and smell the coffee, as Article 370 is history.” In his presser on the sidelines of the SCO meeting in Goa, the diplomat said, “I said they (Pakistan) have nothing to do with G20. I will also say that they have nothing to do with Srinagar. There is only one issue to discuss on Kashmir: when does Pakistan vacate its illegal occupation of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.” On a question on abrogation of Article 370, EAM Dr S Jaishankar replied, “Wake up and smell the coffee. 370 is history. The sooner people realise it, the better it is.”
