Harford County Sheriff's Office investigating shooting in Edgewood

May 4—The Harford County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting Monday in Edgewood.

At approximately 10:57 p.m., deputies from the Southern Precinct responded to a shooting in the 1900 block of Eloise Lane. Donald Purnell Williams, 25, of Edgewood, was found suffering from non-fatal gunshot wounds to the upper body, according to a news release.

Deputies immediately began providing life support until Emergency Medical Service technicians arrived. Williams was transported to a local trauma center.

The initial investigation indicated Williams was outside his home when unknown assailants appeared and opened fire on Williams before fleeing the scene, the release said.

The investigation is ongoing. No further information is being released at this time.
