JAIPUR: Demanding to reduce VAT on petrol and diesel,
Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association (RPDA) will not give their products to the state government on credit from May 5.
The decision has been taken in a meeting of the association. Besides, on May 15, the petrol pump dealers will protest at Shahid Smarak demanding from the government to reduce the VAT. To intensify their agitation, the petrol pumps will remain closed for sale and purchase on May 30.
A RPDA official said that in northern India,
Rajasthan has the highest VAT on petrol and disease. The cost of other products which are used in daily life directly depend on the prices of petrol and diesel in the state.
