WhatsApp on Android and iOS has started receiving a new update that brings two new features -- the ability to forward photos with captions and improvements to polls. The update is now available for users to download via Google Play Store and Apple App Store respectively. However, do note that its a gradual rollout and it may take a while to reach all users.

Now, open an individual chat window or group chat where you’ve received a photo with caption

Long press it to select the photo and tap on the forward button at the top

On the next page, you’ll see the list of contacts to select and share the photo. At the bottom, you’ll see a new section with the photo and the caption.

Press the Send button to share the photo with the caption. In case, you don’t want to share the caption, then tap on the ‘x’ button at the top right side of the caption.

That’s not it. The feature also allows users to add their own caption by tapping on the ‘x’ icon.
