AHMEDABAD: With the impact of western disturbance still prevailing over the region, several parts of the state including north
Gujarat and Saurashtra received light showers on Thursday.
Due to cloudy weather, the maximum temperature at 38.6 degrees celsius was 2.6 degrees lower than normal, whereas the minimum temperature was 26 degrees, on a par with normal.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, there will be no major change in maximum temperatures for 48 hours, afterwards it will rise by 2-4 degrees in the next three to five days.
According to the forecast, parts of the state including Banaskantha, Patan, Ahmedabad, Navsari, Valsad, Jamnagar, Amreli, Rajkot and Kutch on Friday and Dang, Navsari, and Devbhoomi Dwarka on Saturday are likely to receive light rainfall.
