Son of Wasseypur gangster shot at

DHANBAD: Wasseypur gangster Fahim Khan's son Iqbal Khan and his close aide, Naseem alias Dholu, were shot at by four armed criminals on Wednesday night, prompting the district police to increase deployment of forces in Wasseypur to prevent detorioration in the law-and-order situation. Dholu was an eyewitness in land broker Nanhe Khan murder case, police said.
Sources said Iqbal along with Dholu was returning home on a motorcycle on Wednesday at around 9.30pm, when four criminals on two bikes waylaid them near Ara More temple ground and indiscriminately fired at them. They were rushed to a private hospital in Dhanbad, where Dholu succumbed to injuries, while Iqbal was referred to a Durgapur-based private hospital in a critical condition.
DSP (law and order) Arvind Binha said, "Both of them sustained two bullet injuries each. An empty cartridge was recovered from the spot. A few youths have been detained for interrogation. The police are checking the footages of CCTV cameras installed in the area to identify the miscreants."
Meanwhile, fugitive gangster Prince Khan's self-proclaimed shooter Major claimed responsibility on social media for the incident, saying the firing was carried out on the instructions of Prince Khan as Fahim Khan was searching for shooters to kill Prince Khan. He threatened to kill all associates of Fahim Khan and whoever would participate in the funeral of the deceased.
Earlier, Prince Khan had reportedly threatened to wipe out Fahim's family after his close associate, Sarful alias Lala Khan, was gunned down allegedly by Fahim's supporters some time back. He avenged the killing by getting Nanhe Khan killed by his men and now an eyewitness in Nanhe murder case has been gunned down.
Dhanbad senior superintendent of police (SSP) Sanjiv Kumar said they were investigating the case from all possible angles.
