Vaarisu made several crores not only in tamil but also in Telugu. And Varisu collected almost 300 crores. In this case, dil raju has now lost the total of what he earned in Varisu. He is lamenting that he suffered a loss of nearly 23 crores from a single film. He has also said that he has never seen such a loss in his 25 years of film career.
In other words, Shaakuntalam starring samantha was released recently on the occasion of tamil New Year. In this film which is taken as a mythological story, none of the characters other than samantha attracted the fans. That's all, they shot this film like a tv serial. Apart from that, dil raju has spent several crores on Shaakunthalam in 3D animation. In the end, the film was released and collected only seven crores in theaters. The film was made by dil raju with a total budget of 65 crores.


And Shaagunthalam was sold to one OTT site for Rs 35 crore before its release. dil raju escaped with a loss of 23 crores. dil raju might have suffered a bigger loss if it had not been sold to OTT. Also, the collection of seven crores in the film has come only because of Samantha. In this case, dil raju is lamenting that the entire money earned by Shaakunthalam was lost. Because of this, he is afraid to make his next film. Such a loss to Raju's film due to samantha has created a lot of excitement in the film industry.
