Noida reports 43 new Covid cases, Ghaziabad 21

NOIDA/GHAZIABAD: Covid active cases in Noida and Ghaziabad saw a dip of nearly 16% and 15%, respectively, in the last 24 hours. While Noida saw 43 new cases and 91 recoveries on Wednesday, Ghaziabad reported 21 fresh cases and 49 recoveries.
After touching a high of 197 cases on a single day in Noida and 124 in Ghaziabad in the third week of April, the daily Covid count in both districts is showing a declining trend.
Noida has 243 active cases, out of which 17 are admitted at various hospitals. The district also tested 1,300 samples in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Ghaziabad has 149 active cases, with 10 patients undergoing treatment at hospitals. The district has also tested 2,100 samples since Tuesday.
Health officials said the number of patients recovering daily from the infection has increased in the past week. TNN
