Euro area's annual inflation is expected to rise to 7 per cent in April 2023 from 6.9 per cent in March.
The inflation rate of non-energy industrial goods is projected to be at 6.2 per cent and that of energy at 2.5 per cent.
Latvia is expected to have the highest inflation rate of 15 per cent, while Luxembourg is expected to have the lowest at 2.7 per cent.

The euro area’s annual inflation is expected to be 7 per cent in April 2023, up from 6.9 per cent in March, as per a flash estimate from Eurostat.

Looking at the main components of euro area inflation, non-energy industrial goods are expected to have an inflation rate of 6.2 per cent in April 2023 compared with 6.6 per cent in March and that of energy is projected at 2.5 per cent, compared with -0.9 per cent in March, said Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.

Inflation rates measured by the harmonised indices of consumer prices (HICP) are anticipated to be the highest for Latvia at an estimated 15 per cent and the lowest for Luxembourg at an estimated 2.7 per cent for April 2023.
