Winning start for hosts NBYS, UBA, PBG boys

Nagpur: Deep Bhandarkar and Hariom Solanke did the bulk of scoring as hosts Nutan Bharat Yuwak Sangh (NBYS) started their campaign with an easy 34-4 win over Spartan in the Youth district basketball championship which began at the Bajaj Nagar courts on Wednesday.
The opening day of the six-day selection tournament saw lop-sided contests with Gurudeo Nagar Krida Mandal (GKM-B), Players Basketball Gymkhana (PBG), Dharampeth Krida Mandal (DKM) and United Basketball Association (UBA-A) boys teams recording easy wins.
Earlier the tournament was inaugurated by Architect Sunil Degwekar. On the occasion founder secretary of Nagpur District Basketball Association (NDBA) Sanjay Panse, secretary of NBYS Sandeep Durugkar and others were present.
