Andhra Pradesh Police seize Rs 5 lakh worth interstate liquor from Karnataka

TIRUPATI: Palamaner sub division police seized Rs.5 lakh worth interstate liquor being smuggled into Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district from Karnataka on Thursday.
The smuggler identified as C Sudhakar (28), a resident of Mankaladoddi panchayat in Kuppam mandal was arrested by the police.
According to Palamaner DSP N Sudhakar Reddy, the accused along with one of his accomplice used to smuggle Karnataka liquor into the state and supply them at various villages in Kuppam mandal.
Police have laid a hunt for Sudhakar's accomplice who managed to abscond away.
