Teacher held for sexually assaulting boy in Tamil Nadu

TRICHY: A 40-year-old woman teacher was arrested for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy of her tuition class in Thuraiyur on Tuesday. Devi, maths teacher at a government aided school in Thuraiyur resides in Chathirapatti and has been taking tuition for students of other schools as well.
Police sources said she has been making sexual advances at him after class hours, and on April 27 she sexually assaulted the boy.
The crime came to light after the boy informed his parents and they in turn lodged a police complaint. Acting on it, the all women police station (AWPS), Musiri attached to Trichy police arrested Devi on charges of sexually assaulting the boy. She was booked under sections of protection of children from sexual offences (POCSO) Act.
