Mysuru: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidates have been receiving good responses from people in 11 assembly segments of Mysuru district and are expecting a positive result in the polls, said AAP Mysuru district president Rangaiah on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters, Rangaiah said that the AAP had fielded its candidates in 209 constituencies. The candidates had been chosen considering their educational qualifications, people-friendly nature and other aspects and not caste, he added. “Though there are 36 reserved seats, the AAP has given poll tickets to 49 candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes which is widely appreciated,” he said.
Chamaraja constituency candidate Malavika Gubbivani said: “The major political parties are fighting the elections with the help of caste and money power while the AAP is contesting the polls by promising corruption-free state, employment to youth, family savings, good education, health facilities, basic amenities, and support to farmers, among others.”
Candidates of Narasimharaja constituency Dharmashree, KR constituency candidate Jayashree and Chamundeshwari candidate Kiran Kalyani were present.
