Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 10:14AM

Madras Fertlizers(up 5.34%), G S F C(up 4.74%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 4.58%), National Fertilizer(up 3.85%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 3.54%), ZUARIAGRO(up 2.26%), Agro Phos(up 2.13%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 1.89%), Rama Phosphates(up 1.89%) and Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.56%) were among the top gainers.

Bohra Industries(down 0.99%) and Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 0.56%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 37.6 points up at 18127.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 108.51 points at 61301.81 at around 10:14AM.

SBI Life(up 1.58%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.57%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.51%), Adani Enterprises(up 1.43%), Tata Steel(up 1.41%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.89%), Bharti Airtel(up 0.86%), State Bank of India(up 0.84%), JSW Steel(up 0.84%) and Tata Consultancy(up 0.78%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.15%), ICICI Bank(down 0.76%), IndusInd Bank(down 0.6%), ITC(down 0.49%), Tech Mahindra(down 0.49%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.44%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.44%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.39%), HCL Technologies(down 0.36%) and UPL Ltd(down 0.34%) were trading in the red.
