Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.(number of shares traded: 15.68 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 10.33 crore), Rail Vikas Nigam(number of shares traded: 7.79 crore), Brightcom Group(number of shares traded: 4.88 crore), Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 3.79 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 3.45 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 3.02 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 2.96 crore), Patel Eng(number of shares traded: 2.92 crore) and JP Power(number of shares traded: 2.69 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:16AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 61.85 points up at 18151.7, while BSE Sensex was up 199.02 points at 61392.32 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.75 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.29 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 2.00 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.91 per cent) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.73 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.13 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.07 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.00 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.86 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 0.59 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
