HYDERABAD: A Sulabh complex worker was stabbed to death by a private worker near the Telangana high court in Hyderabad on Thursday morning.
Police said an argument over a money-lending dispute was the reason behind the murder.
The accused, identified as Ghouse, picked up an argument with the Sulabh complex worker Nitin alias Mohit and during the argument stabbed him with a knife, killing him on the spot, South Zone police said.
Police said that a family member of Ghouse had borrowed Rs 10,000 from the victim a few months ago and the victim has already collected an exorbitant amount as interest.
As the victim kept harassing for more money, Ghouse went to discuss the issue and during the argument, committed the murder.
Ghouse is in custody and a murder case has been registered.
