Mangaluru: Senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala on Wednesday alleged that the BJP rule in Karnataka in the last three and a half years was a ‘state sanctioned loot,’ endorsed by BJP national leaders, including Union home minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Because of the rampant corruption in the state, people are waiting to remove the BJP-led government in Karnataka. The DNA of the BJP in Karnataka is corruption with 40% commission being taken by them,” he told reporters here.
“The BJP is engaged in divisive politics and dividing the society on communal lines to cover up the corruption charges they have been facing. Meanwhile, the Congress believes in respecting all religions, castes and upholding the principles of secularism in every aspect,” he said.
“The BJP has failed to project the achievements of its government in Karnataka,” Chennithala said and sought to know how many elections the BJP will continue to face on communal lines.
Further, Chennithala accused the BJP of not fulfilling promises, especially the generation of two crore jobs in the country.
