MLA, MC chief meet over pending work

Ludhiana: To push the ongoing development works in the city, Ludhiana Central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi on Tuesday met municipal corporation (MC) commissioner Shena Aggarwal and other civic body officials in the MC’s zone-A office.
The duo directed the officials concerned to ensure timely repair of roads, so the residents don’t face any trouble. Further directions were also issued to make a plan for taking up plantation drives during the monsoon.
Prashar said that many development works were being taken up in his constituency, and the officials were asked to ensure timeliness and quality of works.
The officials have also been asked to take strict action against the contractors, if there is any delay on their part. tnn
