For this you need raw jackfruit properly cut and cleaned. You can either get cut jackfruit from the market, or if you are cutting it at home, grease your hands properly.

Here's how to cook the biryani

In a large pot heat ghee, add onion, ginger and garlic paste, green chilli paste and cook them properly. To this, add whole spices and cook them well.

​Add kathal pieces to this, with yogurt, dhania, nutmeg powder, salt and turmeric.​

​While kathal cooks, boil the rice till it is half cooked.​

​Now mix the rice with the cooked kathal in a large pot in layers. ​

​Add saffron soaked milk once the layering is done. ​

​Seal the pot completely and leave the pot on flame for 25 minutes.​
