BATHINDA: The Canadian government has put Satvinder Singh Brar alias Goldy Brar, wanted by Punjab Police in Sidhu Moose Wala murder case, in the list of 25 most wanted criminals under its ‘Be On The Lookout’ (Bolo) programme. Brar, who features on the 15th number in the list, is wanted by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police after India obtained an Interpol Red Notice for him in June 2022. Under Bolo, the pictures of most wanted are displayed for people to provide any information about them, and even some award money is offered. Earlier, the Interpol had issued a red corner notice against him in 2022.
Brar allegedly claimed responsibility for the murder of Moose Wala, who was shot dead at Jawaharke village in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29, 2022. He had also taken responsibility for the killing of Dera Sacha Sauda member Pardeep Singh at Kotkapura on November 10, 2022. In a social media post, he had claimed that Pardeep was accused of sacrilege and was killed for that.
Earlier, while campaigning for elections in Gujarat on December 2, 2022, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann had claimed that Brar had been detained in California, USA, and that the Indian authorities were in touch with police to get him back to the country.
