Google has been continuously bringing new features to Wear OS smartwatches. A few months ago, it released a new Tile for Google Keep, allowing users to quickly create new lists/notes and browse existing ones from their wrist. The company is now working on a new feature that lets users pin notes to view them quickly.

According to 9To5Google, Google is working on a new Tile for Google Keep that lets users view a note or list. This new feature will ask users to Choose A Note, and once they choose a note or list, it will display the note’s contents on the screen when the user switches to that Tile. This functionality is straightforward and similar to Google Keep’s Single Note widget on Android smartphones and tablets.

This feature hasn’t rolled out yet, and its evidence was found through an APK code teardown by 9To5Google. So, we don’t know how it looks yet and when the feature will roll out to Wear OS smartwatches like the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 5. It is also unclear if this Tile supports AoD (Always-on Display). Google Maps recently got AoD support, displaying navigation steps even when the watch’s screen is inactive, and Google Keep would also benefit from a similar feature.

Google reinvigorated support for Android tablets and Wear OS smartwatches, bringing deeper integration and improving cross-device functionality. With Android 12L, it vowed to improve its apps’ designs to take better advantage of bigger screens on foldable phones and tablets. With Wear OS 3, it partnered with Samsung to improve the performance, efficiency, and features of smartwatches.
