Raia: Curtorim Gymkhana downed Carmel Sports Club with a 3-1 win at the 32nd Arlem Trophy organised by Arlem Youth Association, held at Raia ground on Wednesday.

Joywin Carneiro was the standout performer for Curtorim, scoring two goals and causing problems for Carmel SC throughout the match.

The match was full of intensity, and both teams were determined to get a result. Carmel SC had a few chances in the first half, but Curtorim’s defense held strong. Both teams engaged in an end-to-end battle in the first half but failed to break the deadlock.

The second half, however, was all about Curtorim’s offensive display. They showed great skill and determination, which resulted in their three goals. The second session saw a significant shift in momentum as Joywin Carneiro opened the scoring for Curtorim Gymkhana soon after the restart.

Carneiro doubled the lead within ten minutes, putting Curtorim firmly in control. Carmel SC attempted to stage a comeback and managed to pull a goal back against the run of play through Prestly Gomes. However, their hopes were quickly dashed as Aliston Fernandes netted the third goal for Curtorim Gymkhana.

On the other hand, Carmel SC struggled to create many clear-cut chances, but Prestly Gomes was their bright spark and scored the team’s only goal.
