92 more test positive for Covid, Bihar's caseload rises to 825

PATNA: The Covid curve continued to move northward in the state as 92 fresh cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
According to a bulletin released by the state health department on Tuesday, of the 92 new cases, Patna alone accounted for 43, followed by nine in Purnia and six in Bhagalpur. The 92 new cases were registered against 30,790 samples tested and the state's positivity rate stood at 0.29% on Tuesday.
The number of active cases in the state has increased to 825, putting it in the 13th position in the country in terms of active caseload. Altogether 3,317 new Covid-19 cases were registered in the country on Monday.
As far as Covid vaccination is concerned, 137 fresh doses were administered in the state on Monday. Altogether 15.73 crore Covid-19 vaccines have been administered in the state so far, including over 7.35 crore first dose, over 6.79 crore second dose and 1.59 lakh precautionary dose.
