Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao to open BRS office in Delhi tomorrow

HYDERABAD: On Thursday at 1.05 pm muhurat, CM K Chandrasekhar Rao will be inaugurating the BRS party office in Delhi in what is being seen as taking another important step as part of the party’s plans to expand its footprint all over the country. The party office is coming up at Vasant Vihar in the national capital.
The CM will leave for Delhi on Wednesday and stay in the national capital for a couple of days. He is expected to meet some national leaders. Sources said henceforth, CM will be visiting the national capital almost every month to interact with national leaders and focusing on national politics.
Office space for various wings of BRS such as kisan cell were provided in the new building. Sources said KCR is not inviting national leaders for the inauguration of the office since it’s purely a party affair. Afew days ago when KCR opened the new secretariat building, he avoided inviting the national leaders for the event.
When BRS’ temporary office was inaugurated at Sardar Patel Road in Delhi in December last year, JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy and SP’s Akhilesh Yadav were conspicuous by their presence. “It is a proud moment for Telangana people as BRS will have a permanent building in the national capital.
Especially, for a party which began its journey as a regional party and forayed into national politics, to have its own office building in Delhi is commendable,” party Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar, who is overseeing the inauguration arrangements along with R&B minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy, told TOI.
“The BRS building is a symbol of self-pride of Telangana,” Prashanth Reddy said. The foundation stone was laid for the BRS office building in September 2021 and completed in a record time of one-and-a-half years. It may be recalled the Centre had allocated 1,200 square metres of land to the party in 2021.
