Inmate assaults doctor inside jail

Vadodara: A doctor was assaulted allegedly by a convict in the Vadodara central jail on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred when Dr Nilesh Charpot was on a visit to examine the inmates. He was admitted to SSG Hospital with head injuries and his condition was reported to be stable. Convict Mitul Patel attacked him with a brick. when he examining the blood pressure of another inmate When Charpot fell down, Patel tried to hit him again, but he was overpowered. Charpot said that Patel wasn’t his patient and he has no idea why the prisoner attacked him. tnn
