Schnuck Markets, Inc. is recalling select containers of Culinaria Nut Mixes citing mislabeling and the potential to contain undeclared almonds, a known allergen, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said.
The recall includes Culinaria Cashew & Macadamia Mix 9 oz. with UPC: 4131822428, Best by date: 2/02/25, and Lot Code: 3033 A9; as well as Culinaria Cashew & Almond Mix 9 oz. with UPC: 4131822423, Best by date: 2/02/25 and Lot Code: 3033 A9.
The agency noted that the products may have mislabeled packaging, and the Culinaria Cashew & Macadamia mix may contain almonds, which is an allergen for some people.
Further, due to the mislabel, the Culinaria Cashew & Almond Mix may not contain the correct ingredients listed on the package.
Customers are asked to return the affected products to the nearest Schnucks store for a full refund or exchange.
In similar recalls involving undeclared almonds, Colorado-based American Outdoor Products in late April called back its 4.6 ounce packages of Backpacker's Pantry Blueberry Peach Crisp.
Further, California-based GH Foods CA, LLC and Texas-based GHSW, LLC recently recalled 8.55 oz packages of Turkey and Havarti Sandwiches due to undeclared sesame in bread.
