Will move HC if roads not made: Gogi to MC chief
Ludhiana: Former councillor from Congress party, Gurpreet Singh Gogi has now opened front against the Ludhiana municipal corporation(MC) for delay in construction of road in ward number 94. Claiming that the area residents were being harassed due to this delay, the councillor even threatened to file a public interest litigation in the Punjab and Haryana high court in this matter.
Gogi has on Tuesday also written a complaint to the MC commissioner Shena Aggarwal about these incomplete works.
Gogi informed that work orders were issued for construction of roads in Kehar Singh Nagar and Pehalwana Da Dera area in ward number 94 some two months, back but the work hasn’t started yet. He said the order had also mentioned to complete it in four months, but there’s no progress so far.
The MC officials, meanwhile, maintained that this work would be soon taken up by them.
Gogi had recently also fought a ‘credit war’over the inauguration of a road in ward 94, which was approved under the councillor quota but was instead inaugurated by MLA Madan Lal Bagga.
