An old bridge built on the Bahuda river near Icchapuram town in Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam district collapsed on Wednesday when a granite-laden lorry was passing through the bridge. Along with the 70 tonnes of granite load lorry, a few other vehicles including another lorry had fallen down. Luckily, there was no loss of life, except injuries to a few people including the driver and assistant driver of the lorry. The gap between the bridge and river was only 20 meters due to which a major accident was averted.
