All departments shifted, district hospital has a new address now — Sector 39

NOIDA: All the department of the district combined hospital started operating from Sector 39 on Monday. The only government district hospital in GB Nagar, it was functioning from Child PGI campus in Sector 30 till now.
The new building of the combined hospital was ready since March 2020, but due to a sudden spike in Covid cases, it was converted into a 240-bedded Covid hospital.
Towards the end of 2022, when Covid cases started going down, the building was declared ready to serve as the main government district hospital in GB Nagar.
While some of the departments shifted to the new building, critical care services, like emergency surgery, took some time as shifting expensive medical equipment and maintaining fixtures at the new building could not be done in a hurry.
The eight-floor building will have some important departments spread across each floor along with CMO office in the same building.
The new building will allow space and facility upgrade, with speciality services like burn ward, trauma centre, oxygen beds, skin clinics, cancer OPD and MRI. The OPD will cater to at least 2,000 patients daily.
