BENGALURU: Seeing a spike in bookings and queries, South Western Railway has added more
trains to its daily schedule. A total of 34 summer trains will operate in May . Of the special trains, 26 stop or start from Bengaluru. The remaining eight are from Hubballi or Arsikere. In April, there were 40 summer trains.
“We plan these trains according to waiting lists. The longer the waiting list to a destination is, the higher the chance of operating a special train on that route,” said Kusuma Hariprasad, additional divisional railway manager at SWR Bengaluru.
