Mayor finds 124 staff absent at JMC-G HQ
Jaipur: After a surprise inspection at JMC-Greater headquarters on Tuesday morning, mayor Somya Gurjar issued showcause notices to 124 employees who were found missing.
The mayor warned the employees that any kind of negligence in work will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against those who do not come to the office on time. She instructed officials to keep the office clean and work in a healthy environment so that maximum works of public interest can be done timely.
498 kg of banned single-use plastic seized by JMC-G
Acting against use of single-use plastic, JMC-Greater has seized over 492 kg of banned plastic since July last year, said officials on Tuesday. Over 1,856 challans have been issued by JMC-Greater and fines for over Rs 8.36 lakh have been imposed. A task force has also been constituted for inspection in all seven zones of JMC-Greater to stop the use of single-use plastic.
On Tuesday, teams from JMC Heritage seized 3kg of single-use plastic and collected carrying charges of Rs 22,800 from shopkeepers. TNN
