One shall reap as one sows: Yogi Adityanath's veiled attack at Atiq Ahmad

PRAYAGRA: "Jo jas karihe so tas phal chakha (one shall reap as one sows)," said UP CM Yogi Adityanath citing a couplet from Ramcharitmanas to explain his government's stern action against ganglords and criminals in the state.

"This land of Prayagraj doesn't tolerate atrocities... It is nature which does justice. Whatever one does, one will get its result as nature did justice to those who had done injustice," he said on Tuesday while indirectly referring to the recent killing of gangster-politician Atiq Ahmad and his brother Ashraf.
This was his maiden visit to the city after the killing of the two brothers on April 15.
"Before 2017, people used to tremble with fear and terror during festivals, but today there is happiness in UP," he said, adding, "Today, everything is fine in UP. This is due to government's 'zero tolerance' policy towards criminals."
