Labourer found dead near veterinary hospital in Gurgaon, murder case registered

GURGAON: The body of a 42-year-old labourer from Bihar was found near an abandoned government veterinary hospital in Sector 5 on Tuesday. Investigators suspect he was killed as there were multiple injury marks.
A post-mortem report is awaited. Police said a passerby spotted the body along the boundary wall of the veterinary hospital on Tuesday and informed them.
“We found out that the deceased is Rajender Kumar, a native of Bihar who worked as a labourer in the city. His family back in Bihar has been informed,” the investigation officer of Sector 5 police station said.
Kumar’s family has told cops they suspect the landlord of the one-room rented accommodation where he lived may be involved as the two of them had recently had a fight.
An FIR has been registered against unidentified accused under IPC Section 302.
“The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. Teams have been formed to investigate the matter and nab the accused,” the IO added.
