Micah Miller elected school board president

Micah Miller has become the District 186 president in a vote at Monday's board of education meeting.
Miller, who represents Subdistrict 2, outpolled the former president, Anthony "Tony" Mares 4-3. Miller got votes from Sarah Blissett, Buffy Lael-Wolf and Erica Austin, in addition to himself.

Austin of Subdistrict 6 is the new vice president.
Before the vote, school board members were sworn in, including the newest members, Ken Gilmore of Subdistrict 4 and Debi Iams of Subdistrict 7.
