Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.17% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:04AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

SOBHA(up 1.18 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 0.98 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 0.85 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.82 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers(up 0.5 per cent) were among the top gainers.

DLF(down 1.06 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.45 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.36 per cent) and Macrotech Developers(down 0.29 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.17 per cent at 444.35 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 92.2 points at 18157.2, while the BSE Sensex was up 301.48 points at 61413.92.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.

Shares of Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd., IDFC First Bank, Rail Vikas Nigam, Vodafone Idea and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Welspun India, Datamatics Glob, Rail Vikas Nigam, Kirloskar Elec and M&M Financial hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Gallantt Metal, Lagnam Spintex, Gangotri Text, Parin Furniture and Party Cruisers Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
