1,500kg of gutka seized, four arrested

Erode: The Anthiyur police here on Monday arrested four people and seized 1,500 kilograms of gutka from them.
Police received information that the banned substance was being hoarded in Sembulichampalayam village, located on the Bhavani-Anthiyur Road, and conducted raids in the area. They found four people engaged in loading bags in a car and a van in front of a godown. On checking the bags, they found gutka in them. They searched the godown also, and seized 83 gunny bags containing gutka weighing 1,500 kg.
The police arrested four people and seized the car and the van. They are searching for the kingpin of the operation. agencies
