The city reported 101 new Covid cases on Monday, making it the third consecutive day to record less than 200 cases. The positivity rate also dropped from 8.75% on Sunday to 6.95% on Monday.
GURGAON: The city reported 101 new Covid cases on Monday, making it the third consecutive day to record less than 200 cases. The positivity rate also dropped from 8.75% on Sunday to 6.95% on Monday.
The city currently has 1,375 active cases, out of which 13 patients are hospitalised. While 1,454 samples were tested, 314 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours.
A total of 9,075 cases were added in April as compared to 585 in March and 46 in February.
"The cases are showing a downward trend, which is unlikely to change. It is for the third consecutive day that we have seen less than 200 cases. The number will further go down," said Virender Yadav, the chief medical officer.
Meanwhile, Haryana reported 300 new Covid cases on Monday. The highest number of cases were reported in Gurgaon, followed by Jind (38), Yamunanagar (25) and Rohtak (22). A Covid-related death was reported in Palwal on Monday. The total number of active cases in Haryana is 3,328. The positivity rate is 5.28%, while 4,852 tests were conducted on Monday.
