Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:55AM

Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 4.94%), Sikko Industries(up 3.45%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 3.23%), National Fertilizer(up 2.98%), G S F C(up 2.96%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 2.04%), ZUARIAGRO(up 1.86%), Rama Phosphates(up 1.59%), KRISHANA(up 1.40%) and Aries Agro(up 1.39%) were among the top gainers.

Bohra Industries(down 2.13%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 0.88%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 0.24%) and Coromandel International(down 0.10%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 83.35 points up at 18148.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 282.24 points at 61394.68 at around 10:55AM.

Tech Mahindra(up 3.78%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 3.11%), UPL Ltd(up 2.34%), Hindalco Industries(up 2.22%), JSW Steel(up 2.06%), Infosys(up 1.84%), Axis Bank(up 1.61%), Wipro(up 1.49%), NTPC(up 1.45%) and Eicher Motors(up 1.38%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp(down 2.34%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.61%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.28%), Tata Motors(down 1.03%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 0.81%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.77%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.54%), Adani Enterprises(down 0.37%), Bajaj Finance(down 0.29%) and Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.26%) were trading in the red.
