PU student drowns

MANGAL: A second PUC student allegedly drowned when he had gone fishing with his friends at Nethravati river in Kempimajalu on Sunday.
The deceased is Rupesh, 17. Uppinangady police said Rupesh, Akhilesh and Praveen had gone for fishing. Rupesh and Akhilesh got into the water. After almost an hour, Rupesh was not to be seen and his friend managed to rescue him and rushed him to a hospital in Uppinangday and later to a hospital in Puttur. The doctors declared him dead. An unnatural death report has been filed.
