A threat was found written in one of the bathrooms at Holland Woods Middle School Tuesday.

The school resource officer and the Port Huron Police Department responded. The district also sent out a message to parents.

"In cooperation with the Port Huron Police Department it has been determined that we will close Holland Woods Middle School for the day while the investigation continues, and the building is searched. Additional police are on site, students are safe and we are asking families in an abundance of caution to come and pick up their student(s). Bring ID to main office. We will have busses to get students not picked up home and will announce those times soon."
