In the Nifty index, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 3.33 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.91 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.78 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.30 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(up 2.18 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 2.45 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.32 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 1.14 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
