Over 200 teachers to be recruited in AU colleges

Prayagraj: Six major constituent colleges of Allahabad University (AU) are all set to get 205 teachers from the new academic session. The move comes after nearly 300 new teaching faculty members were recruited at AU recently.
Source said application process for recruitment has been completed in CMP Degree College, SS Khanna Girls Degree College, Iswar Saran Degree College, Rajarshi Tandon Girls Degree College, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Government College and Allahabad Degree College.
The respective colleges have started the screening of applications.
Principal of Allahabad Degree College (ADC) Atul Kumar Singh said: “The interviews will be conducted for teacher recruitment from June.”
ADC will recruit 132 assistant professors in 24 subjects. The maximum number of 21 posts are in the faculty of Law. Besides, nine in Ancient History, 16 in Commerce, seven in Computer Science, four each in Defense Studies, Medieval History and Maths, six each in Economics and Geography, five in education, seven each in English and Hindi, Music (Sitar) has one post and two posts each are there in Sangeet Tabla and Vocal.
Likewise, there are two posts each in painting, philosophy and physical education. Seven recruitments will take place in Physics department, five each in Political Science and Psychology, three each in Sanskrit and Statistics and two in Urdu departments. Similarly, at CMP Degree College, applications have been invited for the recruitment of teachers on 42 posts in 14 subjects.
Recruitment will also be done for five posts of assistant professors in Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Government College. In this, applications have been taken for the post of one assistant professor each in the department of Zoology, Chemistry, Sanskrit, Botany, and Ancient History.
SS Khanna Girls Degree College will also hire nine assistant professors in seven subjects. There will be permanent appointments on eight posts of assistant professors including in Sociology, English, Education, Hindi, Music (instrument), Philosophy and Zoology.
There will be recruitment on 12 posts of assistant professor in Rajarshi Tandon college. There will be recruitment of assistant professors on six posts in six subjects in Iswar Saran Degree College. For this the screening process has been completed.
