Woman robbed of valuables worth Rs 10L on Mum train

Margao: A woman passenger from Thane, Maharashtra was robbed of her handbag containing cash and valuables worth over Rs 10 lakh in a Mangaluru-Mumbai train.
Veena Suvarna, 52, in her complaint to the police said the theft occurred just after the train left the Margao railway station on the evening of April 27. A mobile phone, ATM cards and gold ornaments are among the things that have been robbed, police said. A man in the 25-30 age group is suspected to have committed the theft, police said.
Acting on the complaint, Konkan Railway police have booked a case against an unknown accused.
